How the Word Moved Among the Gentiles in the First Century

God initially opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles by sending Peter to the household of Cornelius. Others also spoke the word to Gentiles in Antioch in Syria and a great number believed the good news about Jesus Christ. Yet it was Paul who was given the primary mission of reaching the Gentiles.

This study looks at how Paul, Barnabas and Silas traveled to fields of service among the Gentiles, preaching Jesus Christ, establishing churches, and appointing elders.

We can learn much about moving the word today by looking at now Paul worked with the Gentiles. By a mighty working of the spirit of God doors opened; words were given to believers to speak, and signs, miracles and wonders occurred that confirmed their words.

Also of importance was how Paul expounded the scriptures to those familiar with them, but to those who were not, he made known the truths about the one true God, the Creator of the heavens and earth, and about His goodness without quoting scripture.
